At EquuSatori Center we provide opportunities for individuals to expand their capacity for self-awareness while strengthening their ability to interact successfully with others. To maximize impact and retention, our workshops are experiential, engaging participants on the physical, mental, and emotional levels. Experiences involving a conscious awareness of the whole being are said to be “enlightened moments” or “Satori”.

“Equine” Experiential Learning introduces the element of working with horses. Horses have lived in relationship with man for centuries. The horse-human connection is rich with possibilities. With the use of myth and metaphor, our work with horses can help us realize our freedom and power. In the wild, a horse’s survival depends upon its group and individual awareness skills. When interacting with humans, horses require us to be aware of our body language, our thoughts and our intentions. In this way, they can help us develop our body, mind and spirit. Horses tend to mirror the person they are interacting with, and in this dynamic we gain a better understanding of ourselves and our relational skills.

Equine Experiential Learning offers deep and comprehensive understanding. It is a process which helps support personal transformation. Experiential learning provides an opportunity for participants to have a more comprehensive process, combining theory, self-awareness, intuition, intention and action.
